Zinfandel is a Vitis vinifera wine grape that is genetically the same cultivar as Primitivo. Its blue-black berries form compact clusters and are used for several red, rosé, and late-harvest wine styles. This product is one dormant bare-root vine.

Planting and care

A warm, sufficiently long season is important for ripening.

Monitor flavor and maturity across several clusters because berries can ripen unevenly. Grapes do not continue to ripen after picking. A dormant bare-root vine may arrive leafless; this is normal. Establishment, ripening, crop size, and the finished wine depend on site, weather, vine age, pruning, harvest decisions, and winemaking.
